I’ve been thinking somewhat for a while that maybe I should introduce you guys to some of the games I like playing. Not that I’m going to introduce you to computer games or anything like that, but it was more something you would want to play with all of your friends or even your family, in other words card and board games. I think these games will probably be something of a getting to know me a little better. I mean wouldn’t you think the kind of games people play tell you a little bit about them? Maybe I’m just crazy.
I’m thinking about introducing a game to you about once a month. First up, SPAZ!
You may have heard of it, you may not have. This game can be played by many ages, and with many people. This game only requires a simple uno deck. You make sure it’s good and shuffled and deal out the entire deck, and no one is allowed to look at their cards. The object of the game is to empty your hand (or get rid of the cards in your hand) which is usually easier said then done if it’s your first time playing.
With spaz each person places a single card face up going around in a circle or some sort of rotation. The point is to wait for a double color that’s when the real game begins, because every person needs to act quickly. That double color could mean more cards in your hand.
Here’s how it goes:
Two green cards: Green Grass, so everyone needs to put one hand on the floor, or table, depending on what you are using as a surface. Sitting on the floor, use the floor, sitting at a table, the table is the “grass”
Two blue cards: Blue Sky, so everyone needs to shoot your hand in the air and touch the sky.
Two red cards: Red heart, so your hand goes to your heart or chest.
Two yellow cards: Yellow fever, so as if you have a fever put your hand to your forehead.
-And the ever so rare two black cards: Black eye, hand in a fist and cover your eye, try not giving yourself a black eye in the process.
Now the bummer is that whoever is the last to do any of the actions gets the pile of cards sitting in the circle.
Like I said, the object of the game is to get rid of all the cards in your hand, and while you are putting a card down every so often sometimes you’re going to have to pick quite a few up if you aren’t fast enough. This game is fun, exciting, and can possibly last for hours. Hopefully I’ve explained it well enough so that if you wanted to play this with some friends you can. Enjoy

So funny you wrote about this! I was just saying the other day that I want to learn or buy a new game to play! I’m a huge board game fan, when all of my family is together, we usually have a family game night. I’ll definitely have to introduce this one, thanks for sharing!! :]
