Welcome back and I hope everyone had a good summer and is ready for the semester to begin. It’s always nice to see familiar faces and some new faces too!
My summer was packed with activities, a job hunt, and a wedding. Not my wedding, but it was my sister’s so that still made it HUGE. I don’t think I realized how hard job searching was until had to do it: sending in applications, waiting for responses, going in for interviews, knowing what to say, and looking presentable. There are a couple things I learned, apply early, call for follow ups, and its okay if you get rejected after your first interview, it was your first interview after all. I did get a job, and hopefully I can keep it for weekends I go home.
Now that the school year has started, I am moved back into the dorms. I have a whole new set of roommates, I’m in a different location, and I’ve got a new RA! Without a doubt I know this year is going to be better, and a whole lot more fun.
I’m hoping I can handle my work load, and the first couple of weeks are going to be the test. I am considering adding Organic Chemistry to my load since it was wait listed and dropping my upper division music class to replace it, but I am going to ask around and see what my professors would advise.
Here goes another year!
