Wednesdays may seem like crazy, wacky or even overwhelming days, but if you are on campus and have some free time there is always something fun to do or see.
As I was told, and heard Wednesdays are the days to wear red at CSU Stanislaus. 1. Because its part of our school colors and 2. Because Wednesdays are like spirit days! I’m sure there are other reasons I just don’t know them, but I’ll learn them!
It is also beneficial to wear school merchandise or clothes from the Warriors activities center because it may mean a discount on food in the Warrior Grill or Main Dining! I know I love a good deal.
The school has many activities going on Wednesdays in the Quad area. Last week the ASI/USU booth was having a bandana making, free pizza (for participating) and school trivia. Each activity got a person a ticket. 1 for making a bandana, and 1 for each question of trivia you got correct! Each ticket meant you were in for a drawing. There was one for a mini ipad, and a few other winners got $15-$35 gift cards for the Warrior Activity Center. Those shirts you wanted could be one step closer!
Of course I participated. Decorated my bandana, filled out a raffle ticket, and ate some pizza.
There was also a booth out there for housing students. They also had a little activity going on where you could be entered into a drawing or get a little free housing item. There was an ID wallet, a coin bag and a couple different pens and pencils. I believe their drawing last week was for a DVD but I think they were going to try and switch it up some, give out movie tickets or something special.
The past two semesters I’ve had back to back classes on Wednesdays which meant I missed out on all of these cool events and booths and free things. This year I have a little break and hopefully one of these days I’ll win something else. Trust me, these booths are worth approaching, grab a friend and go out there and have fun! Every Wednesday in the quad!
